Job Overview
The Assistant Controller is responsible for overseeing the daily financial operations and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records. This role involves managing accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance. The Assistant Controller will assist in preparing financial statements, budgets, and forecasts, while also ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements.
- Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulations.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable functions.
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Conduct financial analysis and reporting.
- Assist in the preparation of tax filings.
- Coordinate internal and external audits.
- Maintain and update accounting records and systems.
- Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff.
- Collaborate with other departments for financial planning.
- Implement process improvements for efficiency.
- Monitor cash flow and financial transactions.
- Prepare and present financial reports to management.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
Education & Training
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred.
